Love Always Protects
Love is invested in the protection of those Jesus gave His life to save
(protect)
Commitment to silence with regard to detrimental issues – will not
expose to potential harm.
Bearing with others against potential threats
Puts a covering and preservation against the identity and condemnation of
sin
Potential for administering love’s care is kept alive where its protection
is in place.
The heart that is active in its protection of others is guarded against an
opening to its own corruption.
It’s under a covering where love lives and is made to be effective.
Application:
Prayer – “Though You know every thought and action I’ve ever
participated in, Your love has and is protecting me from condemnation I
deserve. Father, form this same heart in me that no longer joins in the
exposure of deficiencies. Make it my passion to preserve and protect the
very hearts Jesus’ blood covers with love and mercy.”
Intentional action: Become sensitive to the threats that come against a
brother – ridicule, gossip, judgment, failure – and purposefully choose
silence with regard to its exposure and pursue affirmation and
encouragement instead.
