2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NKJV)
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Those demands of the flesh that become strongholds, covering up and inhibiting the knowledge of God, cannot be dealt with by nice lessons and good intentions alone. We already have weapons in the Spirit that will pull down and captivate them. With every revelation of the Word that produces declarations from the mouth, there is a devastating blow given to the ability of those thoughts to wreak havoc and fear. As the time given to considering those high thoughts is displaced by ingesting the Word and praying in the Spirit, our weapons overwhelm and subdue them completely. Their power isn't by our struggling efforts, though, but completely by the Spirit.

May there now be a great pulling down as powerful weapons and authority are uncovered, unpacked, and effectively activated against any towering spiritual opposition. As walking arsenals, we are continually overwhelming and captivating any and all considerations of doubt and defeat. We are more than overcoming every day freed from the weights and hindrances of this temporary life.

The Word tells us it’s not by might, not by power, but it’s by the spirit of the Lord. There is Rest in that place. Not by a working of our own abilities but Gods power working on our behalf. When we trust and rest, there’s a removal of fear and anticipation for the future-becomes sweet.
