Day 19 – Much More

Ephesians 3:20 (TLB)
20 Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.

Arriving at that place where the king will hear and respond to requests and needs, the expectancy is often for just a meeting of the needs, nothing more and nothing less. There is an expectation for a wonderful resolution of the circumstances – and that in itself might be a sign and wonder. However, there is something about a righteous king that sets him apart from any other source of help. He’s not satisfied with just filling the cup to the top. What he’s able to do is so much greater than the cup’s capacity. Revelation of this ability and His great passion to administer it will fill the heart with confidence and boldness to ask with an expectancy of not just enough but way more than imagined or hoped for. Awareness of available resources and their unlimited flow will transform the nature of any request from a desperate plea to a settled assurance of an overflow.

Our King Jesus’ Kingdom is not like the limitations of an earthly kingdom. What He has established and reigns over is a realm where there is no lack, but it’s where any need has a surplus of provision. He’s not just King but is the God of creation, the original Creator of wealth in its infinite forms. Coming into His jurisdiction confidently as a child positions for provision without caps. Having aligned with His ways, requests will come from desires that align with His. Prayers will be for the things He knows will cause life to abound with blessings that overwhelm and annihilate any curse of lack. As He has reformed us in the beholding of His glory, we’ve become His children. He is now not only our King and God, but He has become our Father, whom we humbly submit to as Lord. He is a good, good Father who doesn’t withhold any good thing from those who walk in His ways and ask in faith with nothing wavering. Coming before the King is transformed into a much-anticipated encounter with abundance.
