Isaiah 43:16-19 (TLB)
16 I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a path right through the sea.
17 I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses, to lie beneath the waves, dead, their lives snuffed out like candlewicks.
18 But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I’m going to do!
19 For I’m going to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Don’t you see it? I will make a road through the wilderness of the world for my people to go home, and create rivers for them in the desert!
When seeking help for a particular condition, the quality of help we receive depends greatly on where we go and whom we ask. It would do very little good to go to a florist for car repairs. Even the best florist in the world would not be considered for that job. In the same way, the best plumber would not be sought out for a computer problem. Training, experience, reputation, and proven results guide who we turn to for help and restoration.
Sometimes we are not even aware that help is available until we hear a testimony, a story, or an invitation. But once the right source is known, knowledge alone is not enough. That source must be approached, trusted, and submitted to in order for real change to take place.
There is great purpose in what God has done and in what He continues to do. Every testimony becomes an exposure of His power and an invitation to believe that He can do the same again — and even greater. Areas of need may feel hopeless and impossible when we are unaware that the God of creation is not only able to create, but also able to intervene, restore, and make a way in every area of life.
For the children of Israel, this truth became real when they were trapped between the Egyptian army and an impassable sea. What looked like the end became the place of divine intervention. Their leader knew how to access the One who could make a way when there seemed to be none. God parted the sea for their deliverance and then brought it down upon their enemies, securing complete victory.
That miracle was not only essential for that moment, but it became a lasting testimony — retold in songs, worship, and declarations — pointing future generations to trust God as the One who makes a way through seas, wilderness, and wastelands, just as Isaiah later declared: “I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19).
Every story of God’s healing, provision, and deliverance since then continues to turn hopelessness into confidence in His power. He is the One to be sought in every situation, and He remains more than able to make a way.
"Confidence and boldness increasingly displace insecurity every time I go to my place at the throne of grace where I’m understood, embraced, and helped in His presence.”
Hebrews 4:15-16
"I bless and honor You, my Father, for counsel that comforts and directs my soul in the night and throughout my days.”
Psalm 16:7, Isaiah 30:21
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength .”
Philippians 4:13
"Christ is my light in the darkness and the shadow of death, guiding my feet to peace."
Luke 1:79
" The fear of God that secures my heart and directs my life is health to my flesh and strength to my bones.”
Proverbs 3:7-8
“His divine power has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him.”
II Peter 1:3
