Day 11 - Filled For Demonstrations

John 14:12 (NKJV)
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

This is not a suggestion or a lofty spiritual thought. It is a promise from the Master — the One who healed the sick, raised the dead, calmed storms, and multiplied food for multitudes. Jesus was speaking of a power that would produce works even greater in reach and impact than those seen during His earthly ministry. And He clearly connected this promise to His going to the Father.

Acts 1:4–5, 8 (NKJV)
“…wait for the Promise of the Father… you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now… you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses…”

The fulfillment of Jesus’ promise was now connected to obedience — remaining in Jerusalem and waiting for the Father’s promise. Those who gathered in the upper room were promised a baptism of power that would enable supernatural demonstration and effective witness.

Acts 2:1–3 (NKJV)
“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place…”

Everyone who remained in the place of promise experienced the outpouring of power. What followed was an immediate and undeniable demonstration: people from many nations heard the gospel in their own languages. The miracle of hearing was astounding, but even greater was the miracle of transformed hearts as many received salvation that day.

Acts 4:31 (NKJV)
“…the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”

Again, in a place of gathering and prayer, they were freshly filled with power — this time producing boldness to proclaim the Word. Scripture repeatedly highlights the significance of being together in the place God appoints for outpouring and empowerment.

As we separate from our own works and enter into the rest where His power works through us, there is an assurance of fresh infilling in the place of gathering. While there are priceless gains in solitude with the Father, God has also designed a place of corporate alignment where His church receives the power promised by Jesus.

It is the church, united in obedience and expectancy, that will storm the gates of hell without resistance. Every work that reveals the nature and likeness of Christ flows through those who believe in His life within them and who remain positioned for continual infilling of greater-works power.
