Mysteries Resolved

In a world that is given to bantering, the back and forth of human ideas and reasonings, there is no capacity to see or hear the real truth.

1 Corinthians 2:6-10 NIV
[6] We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. [7] No, we declare God's wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. [8] None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. [9] However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”---the things God has prepared for those who love him--- [10] these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

In a world that is given to bantering, the back and forth of human ideas and reasonings, there is no capacity to see or hear the real truth. In fact, there is a disdain and disregard of any wisdom that will truly result in an answer. On each side is a pompous notion of being above others as personal experiences and “unique insight from superior intellect” cause there to be very little to no tolerance for anyone of a differing persuasion. Coupled with this elevated pride is extreme dishonor for the opposition to the point of wishing harm and destruction. This atmosphere is the result of a dramatic departure from a humility that positions all thought and conviction under that of God and the wisdom that only comes by His Spirit.

There are critical decisions to be made and the truth that will guide those decisions will ever be concealed in a mystery from those who are bound in their own self-declared wisdom. However, for the mind that by the Spirit has been liberated from the destructive and meaningless conclusions of human wisdom, the mysteries are resolved with clarity of understanding. The very preparations of God that will never be seen, heard, or thought of by the self-absorbed and wisdom void, will be the experience of the one who comes under the influence of the Holy Spirit. To be in Him is to given His Spirit as a continual source of wisdom and entrance into the very heart and purpose of God.

Throughout this day there will be opportunities to be influenced by wisdom, both that of the world’s prideful notions and that of the great I Am, the Creator of the Universe and source of any good thing. We have been given the Holy Spirit to guide us into the Truth, but yielding to His influence and welcoming His presence will remain an untapped opportunity until there is a heart reception and response in faith.
