Clearly Blessed

The soul will indeed be at rest and “well” through times of loss, but it will be so with confidence that God is still the giver of every good thing, and He will provide the things of true worth and significance yet again. Then, the praise of Him will come once more from the mouths of those who are merely observing the clarity of His faithfulness.

Genesis 26:12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him.
13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
14 He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.

27 Isaac asked them, “Why have you come to me, since you were hostile to me and sent me away?”
28 They answered, “We saw clearly that the Lord was with you;

Where God blesses, there will be evidence observable by those who have no “spiritual insight”. Though it may be true that there is prosperity and wealth among those who don’t acknowledge God’s provision, this does not mean that a physical or material blessing may or may not come from God. All through the Word, it was observable by the world when someone was blessed by the Lord. They lived in spiritual joy and peace, but also an abundance of material provision. To deny the ability of God to abundantly bless is to be blind to the obvious clarity so evident to the ungodly.

When the Lord is with, there is a benefit, a reward. Though patience will be required to get to that reward, an assurance will remain in the heart of the one who diligently seeks Him, that the reward is coming and worth however long and arduous its pathway. The retention of this profession is what brings gladness to the heart of the One whose blessings are abundant and Who responds with power and provision to faith. This is what is evidence to the eye of the unspiritual beholder - that remaining true to the promise, continuing steadfast in joy and peace through the growing period, has a reward of blessing from a good, good, good, good Father.

The soul will indeed be at rest and “well” through times of loss, but it will be so with confidence that God is still the giver of every good thing, and He will provide the things of true worth and significance yet again. Then, the praise of Him will once more from the mouths of those who are merely observing the clarity of His faithfulness.
