Where there might otherwise be turning towards the deceptions of the flesh “cans” to acquire right standing through the dos and don'ts of the law, pointing back to the righteousness only Jesus’ blood could purchase always effectively nourishes and strengthens faith in Him once again for the one doing the pointing.

Rather than abandoning the true source of life that is our faith in Christ, we have the opportunity continually to abandon belief in the message from those who would challenge this faith. Knowing the truth by living in His Word and Presence is to be protected in liberty and kept from any evil intent.

To be set free from an inability to fulfill a bunch of requirements is a very wonderful gift that is freely received in Christ. Actually living in this freedom, though, especially after having identified with a sense of accomplishment and being right as a result of doing certain things, can be a challenging stance.
